Former Director of Cultural Heritage Protection and Security for the V&A. Former head of Art and Antiques Unit, New Scotland Yard. Founder of the London Museum Security Group, the London Art Market Forum, ArtBEAT, the National Museum Security Group and co-founder of the Security of Major Museums in Europe.
Created and directed the V&A's Culture in Crisis Programme and the Culture in Crisis Portal. Delivered two exhibitions on criminal fakes and forgeries.
Lectures internationally on art crime, heritage protection and museum security. Has contributed chapters to several books and appeared as an expert on national and international radio and television including: The Antiques Roadshow and Fake or Fortune.

Having worked in operations for over forty years at De Beers and at Director level at the Imperial War Museums, Tim is a highly experienced senior operations manager with a proven track record as an enabler and problem solver. He has been central in running outsourcing, performance and efficiency programmes, offering financial benefits to the organisation whilst leading the often complex change management process.
He facilitated the outsourcing of both the technical and manned guarding elements of IWM Security at all five branches and successfully negotiated the programme with internal stakeholders, union representatives and senior management.
Tim is experienced in Security and Operations, Facilities Management, Business Continuity Planning, Visitor Services and contract management.
He specialises in providing safe, secure and well staffed visitor facing environments.
